D&L Wood Products was started by Bob Ligda and Robert E. Ligda in 1992. With a single tool box in hand they transformed a golf ball manufacturing plant into a custom architectural millwork shop. Today they install casework and wood products all over the country. Success didn’t come overnight though. It took years of hard work and dedication to create the reputation that you would expect from a great millwork contractor capable of any job.
As with all new businesses the work started small. A wooden bench here, a few pieces of trim there, doing whatever was needed and asked of future customers. The projects started increasing in size and frequency once they realized the level of quality, service, and dedication that was being provided. As the customer’s confidence increased, so did the amount of repeat business. This led to the working relationship with some of the biggest names in the hospitality industry.

All of our shop drawings are created in-house by design engineers using AutoCAD. This allows us complete control of our product and helps with the expedition of the project. Our designers are experienced in communicating with interior designers, architects and general contractors in order to ensure our millwork is fabricated correctly the first time. Their goal is to ensure that all of our products integrate seamlessly with the electric, solid surface, tile, or other trade that may be required. Value engineering is another way our design team can assist the developer and help lower costs.
Our shop carpenters have a combined experience of over 100 years in the woodworking industry. The quality of our product can only be as good as the skilled workers that build them. Cutting, rabbeting, fastening, sanding, staining and finishing all happens here. Not only does each carpenter build to highest of standards, but they also work efficiently and quickly, which saves our customers in the end. Our fabricators and designers work hand-in-hand forming a cohesive team ensuring that the design can be built and installed.
Whether it is in the field or in the shop, our project managers are there to work with and for the customer to ensure a strong long-lasting relationship. Starting with field measurements, they are the link between the architectural prints, the actual field conditions, and the shop fabrication. Ensuring installations are on time, schedules are met, and the punch list is complete, the project managers see every project through to the end.
